Chris Unger

Hello Massachusetts DECA! My name is Chris Unger and I am a senior at Medfield High School. This will be my 4th year in DECA, and I’m honored to be serving on the State Action Team!

Since joining DECA my freshman year, it has become a huge part of my life. Attending my first State Conference was unforgettable: the energy and the passion of every student there was contagious. Even though my partner and I didn’t qualify for ICDC, I realized how special the Massachusetts DECA community truly is. 

Since then, I’ve been elected as a Co-President of my chapter where I’ve helped lead fundraisers, recruit for our chapter, and tutor new members. Now, as a State Officer, I hope to improve resources for developing chapters and improve the DECA experience as a whole.

Aside from DECA, I’m involved in a variety of activities. I am Class Treasurer, I run cross country and track, and I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I like cooking (my favorite thing to make is crème brûlée), and there’s nothing I love more than a Chili's Triple Dipper.

I’m so excited for the year to come, and I feel so grateful to serve all of you. I can’t wait to see everything we accomplish together. Let’s make it our best one yet!
