Om Hirani

Hello Mass DECA! My name is Om Hirani. I am a senior at Billerica Memorial High School and a three-year DECA member. I’ve served as the co-president of my chapter these last two years and cannot wait to work with you as a Team 66 State Officer.

In the summer of 2023, I attended the Emerging Leaders Summit in Tysons Corner, VA. The experience was transformative. Meeting the outgoing State Officers and being welcomed by MA team 65, despite being the only Massachusetts member, ignited my desire to pursue state office and help grow Mass DECA. Networking with like-minded peers made me realize just how much DECA could shape our futures.

Beyond DECA, I enjoy sports, entrepreneurship, and traveling. I founded the Young Investors Society at my school to give students a platform to explore finance. This past summer, I shadowed and worked with multiple business owners from different backgrounds. They’ve given me invaluable insights and experience on the logistics of starting my own business. I plan to travel to Africa and Greece this year to gain new perspectives. Alongside, I cannot wait to see the Celtics bring home Banner 19!

As the co-president of our DECA chapter and the Vice President of my class, I’m committed to building a strong sense of community and leadership. Volunteering through peer leaders and the tutoring committee has strengthened my dedication to giving back and making a positive impact. DECA has not only helped me grow but also inspired me to mentor others and help them reach their potential.

I can’t wait to share my journey and insights with you all. Together, we’ll achieve great things and push the boundaries of what we can accomplish. Let’s make this year unforgettable!
