Sean Bailey
Hello Mass DECA! My name is Sean Bailey, and I am a junior at Nipmuc Regional High School. This is my third year as a DECA member, and I am deeply honored to serve on State Action Team 66.
Growing up, I often heard about DECA from my three older sisters but was blissfully unaware of all it had to offer. In my freshman year, I decided to join and compete in Hotel and Lodging Management, placing third at the district level. After my first state conference, where I qualified for ICDC, I realized that DECA was the place I truly belonged. Since then, I have qualified for ICDC a second time, currently serve as Vice President of Hospitality for my chapter, and have been given the distinct honor of serving as your State Officer.
Outside of DECA, I am Class President, a Best Buddies Chapter Officer, and a three-sport athlete. Although I do not consider myself athletic whatsoever, I enjoy playing soccer and participating in two seasons of track, throwing shot put and discus. In my free time, I love napping, going to the gym, and spending time with friends. Some fun facts about me are that I am a twin, I know the alphabet backwards, and I once got my head stuck in a revolving door.
I am thrilled to serve you all and I can’t wait for you to see what this DECA year has in store. If you ever have any questions or need someone to talk to, feel free to reach out to me on Instagram @deca_sean! I’m here to support you any step of the way so take advantage of every opportunity DECA has to offer. Let’s go Mass DECA!
