Hector Aponte

Hi Mass DECA! My name is Hector Aponte and I am a senior at Taunton High School. I have been a part of this incredible organization since the eighth grade, and I hope to provide for you all the experiences and memories similar to what I have enjoyed over the past four years!

I aspired to serve as a State Officer after seeing the exceptional degree of character and professionalism from past teams and officers. After attending ICDC in Orlando a couple of years ago, I knew that running for State Officer was for me as I realized the abundance of opportunities and personal development that DECA offers.

Within my chapter, I have served as a class representative twice, the Vice President of Special Events, and the Vice President of Training. Outside of DECA, you will likely find me in my high school’s Air Force JROTC classroom, the weight room, working on my truck, or somewhere in nature. After high school, I plan on joining the military, the Air Force specifically, either in engineering or military combat.
