Lynn Benali
Hello Massachusetts DECA, I am Lynn Benali! I am a senior high school student at Manchester-Essex Regional High School, where I constantly strive to learn and improve. I am always seeking challenging environments that stimulate intellectual curiosity and encourage personal growth and development. I have nourished a growing passion for three main interests: 1) Education, 2) Community service and, 3) Ethical business that creates wealth (DECA). I practice sailing as a competitive sport, in and out of school, and earned several awards in multiple regional, national, and international competitions. I have had the opportunity to be exposed to different cultures, societies, and languages which allowed me to broaden my perspective on the world and influenced my social contribution. I care deeply about helping others (particularly those from disadvantaged populations) and will continue to dedicate time to initiatives that make the world we live in a better place. I have developed a true passion for business initiatives that create wealth opportunities to fight poverty. DECA has helped me grasp the fundamentals of the business world, fueled my curiosity, and fostered my knowledge in this field.
In the past two years, I have grown to better understand, through DECA, the fundamentals of business. I have a better perspective of the challenge, competitiveness, self-confidence, self-awareness, responsibility, communication, respect, adaptability, and flexibility in this field. I seek and leverage every opportunity while interacting with peers, mentors, and advisors to learn and develop new communication skills in order to maximize my understanding of the world of business. This year I look forward to creating the new Mass DECA App, and working on creating a new website for Massachusetts DECA! I look forward to spending the 2021 to 2022 year with you all!
